First edition. His first book and first in the triology about the fictional town of Neely, North Carolina. Signed by Pearson on title page. Good condition- slight fading along bottom edge of front board, small stains along bottom and front edge papers. Stain on front paste down and on FEP and back paste down. Good dust jacket, with original price intact, stains inside along front and back flaps; slight fading on spine, one small closed tear at top of spine.
Synopsis
A Short History of a Small Place is a 1985 novel by T. R. Pearson. Set in the fictional town of Neely, North Carolina, it tells, in a rambling and digressive manner, about the life and eventual suicide of the town's only aristocratic woman, Miss Myra Angelique Pettigrew.
