About This Item
viii, 452, pages, plus a 16-page publisher's catalogue.
Embossed publisher's burgundy cloth with gilt letting to spine and patterned end-papers. Cloth slightly faded to spine, text clean and unmarked. Owner's name and bookseller's price on front end-papers. Also contains original "Everyman's Encyclopaedia" paper bookmark.
Excellent pocket-sized reference book of authors, with upwards of 1600 names, from the 16th century onwards and with a short appendix of contemporary (i.e. 20th century) writers. Whilst much of this information can be obtained online this remains a handy, easy and quick to use, reference work. It is also nicely printed and thus a welcome break from a glaring screen.
