Red cloth boards with gold lettering on spine. Very light soiling (faint water mark at top rear board edge). No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, pages and edges are clean, with clean orange endpapers - no names or writing, but has small closed tear to front free endpaper, about the size and shape of a lima bean. Well-illustrated with photographs. Sewn-in ribbon book mark. 174 pages with glossary. Dust jacket is clean and bright with small faint water stain at top rear edge; not price clipped; very small chip at rear top spine corner. Nice photo and brief bio of author on rear inside flap.
