About This Item
NY: Modern Library; (1955). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Stated first printing (first Modern Library Giant edition, ML #G-83), very good in a very good dust jacket. Owner name and "Vassar '68" on front endpaper; rear hinge is separated, but still pretty tight. Just minor wear to the red cloth boards. The jacket has a $2.95 printed price, but the "2" has been overwritten in ink to make it a "3". There is some wear at edges, and a quarter-sized chip at the bottom of the spine. The entire bottom of the spine has been reinforced by tape in the interior. Listing of Modern Library titles on the inside of the jacket, but total numbers are not given. A large book (1290 pages) mat require additional shipping charges for priority or international shipping. Despite the copyright dates, Toledano lists the book as being published in 1960.
