William Falconer was a Scottish epic poet concerned with life at sea. The Shipwreck recounts the final voyage of the merchant ship Britannia and her crew. This edition also has a biography of the author by J. S. Clarke. With four plates and six vignettes.Collated, complete. With a bookplate for Richard Luckett to the page after the front free endpaper. In full diced calf. Externally, very smart with the spine rebacked. Previous owner bookplate to the front pastedown and with a bookplate for Richard Luckett to the page after the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages with some spots to the frontispiece. Very Good
