With Life by Robert Carruthers. (London: T. Nelson and Sons: 1868) Spine lettered 'Illustrated Edition'. Gilt decorated cloth, bevelled boards pp. 169. Illustrated by Birket Foster. Engraved by Edmund Evans, Dalziel Brothers, and W.T. Green. All edges gilt (and still very bright). Front inner hinge just starting to split. Head and foot of spine and corners of boards rubbed; lower edges of boards rubbed from shelving; a little marking to the cloth; otherwise a fine copy.
