Peiping, China: Harvard-Yenching Institute, 1936. Book. Illus. by 175 illustrations. Near Fine. Soft cover. 1st Edition. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Limited edition of 200 copies, bound in string tied Chinese style with blue paper covers , all fine in three volumes. Inside no foxing or stains or prior owner marks. Preserved in the original blue cloth slipcase with bone clasps. Title label in Chinese is paper, glued on to the blue cloth. Slipcase cloth is faded at both ends, but no edge wear. The title label is repeated on the outside cover of volume one., and an English title label is pasted to the inside cover of that volume. 168 images of Shang and Zhou bronzes, 7 images of Qin and Han bronzes, all in black and white. The author was a famous archaeologist and paleographer. A s,a;; fp;op soze. 13 inches tall, by 9, and 2 inches thick. Price includes free postage. .
