From the library of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., with his bookplate on the front paste-down, and additionally inscribed to him by the author on the FFEP. Fairbanks (1909-2000) was an American actor (his credits include Gunga Din) and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II.
