London: Cecil Palmer, 1920. First Edition. Very good with prior owner's signature on ffep.. Scarce first edition of Looney's book that originated the Oxfordian theory, which claims that Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford (1550-1604) was the true author of Shakespeare's plays. No copies have come to auction in over 60 years.

The Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship stated, perhaps somewhat self-interestedly, "Shakespeare Identified remains the most revolutionary book on Shakespeare ever written."

[4]; 5-551pp. 8vo.
