London: James Burns, 1871. vii [1[, 120 pp. Good with minor chips to the wraps and a small inventory number written in on the corner of the title page. The number indicates it was once used at Canterbury. Elder Frederick Evans was born in England and joined the Shakers at New Lebanon as a young man. He was a social reformer and worked to keep Shaker beliefs relevant in a changing world. He traveled to back to England on missionary trips.
