New York: Viking. Original violet cloth with black spine. First Edition. Laid in is a postcard to Lenore Fleischer of Hudson with these words: "Dear Lenore, Leaving Paris to arrive in Hudson tonight, I hope. I had a dream about you in Paris which this card reminds me of. Love, John Ashbery." The photo on the card shows a woman bent over fixing an automobile engine with her dress lifted up. Inscribed to Lenore on title page: "for Lenore/ "You remain a sane, yet/ sophisticated person." From/ John/ Hudson/ 7/11/81 Fleischer was an author in Hudson. . Near Fine.
