About This Item
New York: Federal Book Company, 1902. The English novelist and playwright Thomas Henry (Hall) Cain was at one time considered to be the "most highly paid" author of his time. First published in 1885; this is a Very Good (minus) copy of a Reprinted edition. Decorative orange cloth binding. Titling and a floral design in black and gray on the front cover; titling in black on the spine. The title page is missing, so there is no publication date, but Lupton changed its name to Federal in 1902, so it cannot be earlier than that. This book resembles a late 19th-Century pirate, with its very attractive binding but with poor-quality and heavily tanned wood pulp paper stock. Light wear and a darkened spine. Not even a Reading Copy; desirable only for its uncommon lovely binding... Reprint Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
