This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of Kinsey's first study of human sexuality, the Fifth Printing of the First Edition, from February, 1948 (originally published one month earlier, it immediately went into multiple printings). Kinsey's other authors (listed on TP) were Wardell B. Pomeroy and Clyde E. Martin. A large, heavy octavo (2.5 pounds); red cloth binding with spine labeling in black and gilt. Clean text; 804 pages, indexed; with bibliography and appendices. There is hardly any wear to this copy, but the rear hinge has cracked (although holding well); otherwise this would be close to a Fine copy. Lacking the dustjacket. . Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
