Small 8vo, cloth with gilt title on spine, illustrated, 416 pp. Map present, but in three pieces, extremity wear, especially on top and bottom of spine, signatures on title and front pastedown, a couple of signatures are sprung, some foxing; otherwise good. This work contains about 40 plates and considerable detail on the history of upstate New York. A chapter is devoted to 'Lands of the Six Nations', and measures by the state to protect Indian lands. There is also a short discussion land disputes between New York and Connecticut. Also sections on improvements to western New York, and the development of business and society in this area.
