Copyright 1886 (only one shown), date 1897 in Roman numerals on title page. Top edge of text block is gold gilt (still bright), other 2 edges are rough cut. Dark green cloth binding is tight, clean & square; couple v. minor soft corners. Gold gilt title, border decoration & Scribner's logo on BOTH front & back covers; gold lettering on spine- all crisp & intact. NO bumps, rubs, scuffs or sun discolor. Text lightly toned; tight, clean, unmarked. NO hinge splits, owner names, etc.; NOT ex library. A very handsome, well preserved copy- displays very well. ***Reliable, fast! (45)
