Gilt lettering to spine and decorative blind stamping. 462pp. Gregg (1800-1881) was an Anglican clergyman in Ireland and one who defended the Church against Roman Catholicism both in public debate and in print. His main propositions were that the established church was the true church of Christ in England and Ireland, and that the Roman catholic church was the church of Antichrist.
