Chesterfield: J. Roberts. Good with no dust jacket. 1831. First Edition. Hardcover. Viii + 99 pp. With the book plate of Sir Edmund Antrobus and the signature on the half title "To Lady Antrobus from her friend, the Author" (this should be the 2nd Bart, judging from the dates). 3/4 leather with original marbled paper hard boards. Leather is a bit rubbed and worn, spine gilt and decorations. Interior clean and nice, first free endpaper paper is folded and Sir Edmund's bookplate has transferred a ghost image. A nice copy of this scarce work of 9 sermons. Rev. Rodes once entertained Lord Byron at his mansion at Chesterfield and Sir Edmund's family owned the land on which stands Stonehenge. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 99 pages; Signed by Author .
