A reprint from 1955 (same year as the first printing)Unclipped dustwrapper is in poor condition, torn in two at the right-hand side of the spine and with the lower part of spine missing, other tears and creases to the edges. Minor bumping to spine ends and corners of red boards, some yellowing to the pages, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Deals with the career of Serjeant-Major Ronald Brittain, who served for thirty-seven years (twenty as a Warrant Officer) mainly at Sandhurst, the Guards Depot, and at the Mons Officers School. He was said to have had the loudest voice in the British Army. 191pp, 8pp b&w illustrations.. Hard Cover. Good/Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
