This is the Third printing of the FIRST EDITION hardcover from 1971, with original DJ. Hardcover octavo has black cloth-covered boards lettered in gilt to front & gilt/red to spine. Condition is Near Fine: very clean, binding strong, but with slight rightward cocking. Pages creamy white with mild tanning around all edges; 1 foxed spot to fore edge. Former owner's name in pen to ffep, else unmarked. A hint of rubbing to extremities. The unclipped DJ, with original $6.95 price on bottom front flap intact), is VG, downgraded due to very mild chipping to top edge & heel of spine, 1 short (1.25") diagonal tear from top edge of front cover moving inward.
