Ellis was a highly influential psychotherapist who developed rational emotive behavior therapy and was an early proponent of cognitive behavioral therapy, now extremely popular. His work as a sexologist, including his 1958 book Sex Without Guilt, caused him to be seen as one of the founders of the American sexual revolution. This title is a critique of popular contemporary sex manuals (including many with the word "sensuous" in their titles). [62819].
