First Printing, September 1967 stated on copy right page, excellent biography of one of the greatest modern explorers, Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl, 424 pages including index, many vintage black and white photographs of Heyerdahl throughout the years on his many explorations. Book is near Fine, ultra clean red cloth with bright gilt titles to spine, beautifully embossed illustration of Kon Tiki on the front panel, book is tight and square with sharp points, ultra clean with No previous owner bookplate or writing, Jacket is near Fine, nice early portrait of Heyerdahl on front cover, Jacket shows nicely in a new mylar sleeve. Most presentable First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
