Internally there is a decorative bookplate of Partridges and monogram to front endpaper, age darkening to endpapers else very clean, tight and unmarked. Fore and lower edges uncut. Top edge gilt. A Very Good+ copy. Uniform with The Secret Court Memoirs series. Title page and etchings on Japan paper. Printed on Grolier watermarked quality paper. 403 pages. 6 very beautiful Original etchings / engravings, tissue protected - Madame de La Valliere - Photo-etching from a rare painting in Palais Royal, The Regent and His Mother-Photogravure from apainting by Pujol, Princess de Conti-Etching by Mercier from the painting by Nottier, 'Overturn Here, You Blockhead'-Photo-etching from an original drawing by Frank Merrill, Duchesse du Maine-Etching by Mercier, "Everybody Must Live" - Original Etching by Lalauze.
