Grosset & Dunlap, 1929. Hardcover. Good/Poor. GOOD SOLID COPY! 1948B-28 according to the Carpentieri reference. NO marks or writings, pages bright and clean, binding tight and sound. Small dent to front cover, very light soiling to both covers, light wear to spine ends and corners. Dust jacket in Poor condition with large piece missing from front cover, other smaller pieces missing, multiple tears and light water damage to inside flap (did not affect book). Dust jacket placed in Brodart archival sleeve. Bubble wrapped and shipped in box. DT 210 pp
Synopsis
The Secret of the Caves is Volume 7 in the original The Hardy Boys Mystery Stories published by Grosset & Dunlap. This book was written for the Stratemeyer Syndicate by Leslie McFarlane in 1929. Between 1959 and 1973 the first 38 volumes of this series were systematically revised as part of a project directed by Harriet Adams, Edward Stratemeyer's daughter.The original version of this book was rewritten in 1965 by Andrew E. Svenson resulting in two different stories with the same title.
