London and New York: John Lane the Bodley Head; Dodd, Mead, 1927. Limited edition. Hardcover. Very good. Illustrated by Alastair.. Folio. (68)pp. Eight full page color illustrations by Alastair; the most complicated of the illustrations, opposite page 42 has been signed in pencil by the artist. The binding is beige linen blocked in brown and gilt. One of 1050 numbered copies of which this is number 1001.
The binding has some soil and wear at the area which corresponds to the thumb cutout on the slipcase, the spine is lightly darkened, else this is a very good copy with fine contents. The publisher's slipcase is lightly soiled and well worn at the edges, though still serviceable.
