Signed by the author on the title page. First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by ROC, 2012. Signed 'To Pam, Kat Richardson, Aug 2, 2012'. Part of the 'Greywalker' series, Harper Blaine is hired by an insurance company to find out what happened to the 'Seawitch', a boat that had disappeared along with all passengers years ago which has suddenly reappeared to the original dock in Seattle. 338 pages, 6-1/4" X 9-1/2". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Sturdy mustard colored cover boards, with copper colored spine, author name and title imprinted on the spine in gold. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased, no edge wear. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages besides the inscription. This is not a remainder, not a library discard. Edges of the text block are clean. Binding is tight and square. The attached photos is of the copy we have in our inventory.
Synopsis
Harper Blaine was your average small-time PI until she diedfor two minutes. Now Harper is a Greywalker, treading the thin line between the living world and the paranormal realm. And she’s discovering that her new abilities are landing her all sorts of strange” cases. A quarter century ago, the Seawitch cruised away from her dock and disappeared with everyone on board. Now the boat has mysteriously returned to her old berth in Seattle and the insurance company has hired Harper to find out what happenedbut she’s not the only one investigating. Seattle police detective Rey Solis is a good cop, albeit one who isn’t comfortable with the creepy cases that always seem to end up in Harper’s lap. As Solis focuses on the possible murder of a passenger’s wife, Harper’s investigation leads her to a powerful being who may be responsible for the Seawitch ’s disappearance. While their searches lead Harper and Solis in different directions, they will need to put aside their differences to solve a mystery twenty-five years in the making.
