To illustrate the four seasons of the year the author chose and wrote short extracts of poetry and prose by writers such as Longfellow, Southey, Scott, Tennyson and Wordsworth. He decorated each page with his own delicate drawings and watercolours. This is a Reproduction of a book originally (Privately) compiled in the 1880's though NEVER published until 1981.
