This is an uncommon sporting book, "SEAFOWL SHOOTING SKETCHES" by Daniel Higson. 1909; Alfred Halewood; Preston, UK. New and enlarged edition. "Being chiefly a series of adventures on the River Ribble in pursuit of wild fowl - with several additional chapters. A few Notes on Birds, Guns, and Accessories, and on Stringing the Cross-Bow." There is a frontispiece photograph of Higson holding a cross-bow with a facsimile signature.
Condition:
Some very light soiling to the covers and spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Light tanning to the end papers and pastedowns. A tiny piece of the top paper layer has peeled away near the top edge of the front pastedown. Nice interior - the text pages are mostly clean with only some very light foxing to the frontispiece and title page. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
