Forty eight individual issues of "The Scout" bound up together and extending from No.132, Volume V1, October 29th, 1910 to No.177, Volume V1, September 2nd, 1911 (The first issue in the collection, No 132 is incomplete: the first four pages, including the cover are missing. The remainder of this first issue is slightly chipped and torn). The remaining 47 issues seem complete and without tears, They were once in a hardcover binder, no longer present, They are sewn. one to another, at the inner margin in a conventional way, but missing the original hardcovers and spine. 1130pp with articles, information, adverts, line drawings,stories. etc. Spine is tatty/worn, some pages yellowed at margins,; but vast collection of information concerning the early history of the scout movement. .
