Edinburgh : The Scottish National Dictionary Association , [1931] to 1976 . First Editions . Very Good . 4TO . Limited to 2000 sets of which this is # 1249 (numbered in volume 1 only). An enormous achievement which took decades to produce, the first two volumes by Grant and the rest by Murison. Erratum slip in volume 4 pointing out a mistake in pagination and the page numbers have been corrected. A lightly worn non-circulating ex-library set witht minimal markings. Volumes 1 to 9 have been hansdsomely rebound in blue library buckram with six ruled spine compartement and gilt titling. Volume 10 rebound in blue buckram in a plainer but sympathertic style.
