(ii), iv, (xii), 464 pp. Publisher's dark blue cloth gilt lettered to the spine, white lettered with a vignette of a penguin to the front cover. Frontispiece, 67 plates (some two to a page), numerous illustrations in the text and several maps including a large folding one to the rear, all as per the original edition. Very good. First published in 1916.
