About This Item

Mimeographed, 8.5” x 11” printed on one side, with three cut and paste images (2 of men hanging). VG+. The broadside reads: “Black Educational Forum. Tired of Hangin’ Around?” The following were featured at the event: Bill Mathis (Congress of Racial Equality), Walter Palmer (Black Community), Larry Workman and Jim Moss (Teachers Concerned), Bill Sneed (Executive Secretary of SCORE), Paul White (Young Afro-Americans), Jeremiah X (Minister, Muhammad’s Mosque #12), Morris X, (Nation of Islam), Wilbur Graham (Black Panthers), Representatives from Moorish Science Temple, Steering Committee for Black Students at Temple University, and Terry Me Harris (Black Panthers). Mathis, Director of CORE who spoke at this event, organized a successful Philadelphia demonstration two years earlier, the same year of the Chicago demonstration and riots. Apparently unrecorded, not appearing in OCLC or in auction records or commerce.
