A handbook for book salesmen, with the contents ranging from meeting potential customers, overcoming refusals, and a wide-ranging number of topics. Dirty and stained green cloth covered wraps. Fraying and wearing to cloth on corner tips, heel and head of spine. Corner tips are bent/dented. Former owner name embossed in gilt on front cover. Darkened spine cloth and faded gilt lettering. Binding has loose spots. Torn title page at gutter. Yellowed, stained and dirty paste downs and end pages. Vertical creases to rear paste down and end papers. Slick, glossy pages have occasional stains and the tendency to stick together. Staining to text block.
