About This Item
New York: William Morrow & Co., 1999. First Printing, First U.S. Edition. . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. McGregor's first novel is a storey about three college students living in reckless student housing in Glasgow, Scotland, where beds, drugs, and liquor are shared equally and freely until Juliet finds a woman's corpse under the stairs. The body disappears shortly after Juliet finds it and with her scientific mind, she begins thinking of the body as a Schrodinger's cat, the subject of a famous quantum theory thought experiment. Was the body ever really there? As Juliet comes closer to learning the truth, she also learns the truth might better have been left under the stairs. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square; the dustjacket is close to perfect, no tears, chipping or creasing, not price-clipped. A collectable copy.
