With images of different cities and boroughs, including: Bath, Cornwall, Lake District, Glastonbury, Kent, Oxford, Ramsgate, Birmingham, Dover, London, Liverpool, Isles of Wight, Cork, Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Swansea, Milford Haven, Jersey, and more.This is the 1991 reprint with a new frontispiece and with the collotype plates in photolithography.Major John Roland Abbey (1894-1969) was an English book collector who wrote several books, including this one and Life in England in Aquatint and Lithography, 1770-1860. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
