About This Item
London: Collins Crime Club, 1955. First edition, first printing. Published by Collins Crime Club in London, 1955. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, plainly illustrated with what appears to be a trout (I'm no fisherman!) has some surface spotting and creasing throughout. The rear panel has handling marks throughout. The top and tail of the spine are bumped, with hairline creases present. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 10s 6d net price. The boards, in the original publisher's red cloth, are bumped at the corners and spine tips, with slight toning in places. The text blocks are toned. This copy has one small inscription to the illustrated endpapers, though otherwise is free from inscriptions. This is a very good copy. The eighteenth novel to feature Marsh's Roderick Alleyn.
