About This Item

Minneapolis: Coffee House Press, 1988. First Edition. Trade Paperback. Near Fine. 5x0x9. Signed by author. First edition - a paperback original. Signed by author without inscription. Lightly toned. 1988 Trade Paperback. 74 pp. "Rather than painting a picture of Indian life, Linda Hogan resurrects its symbols and uses them in new ways. The power of the scorpion or the elk in Hogan's work comes...form her orchestrating of these images. This book is startling."--Hungry Mind Review “Savings deals with all the ways we can save the past, save our awareness of the natural world, save out feeling for those ancestors who came out of that world and returned to it, and, in the process, save ourselves. It offers further reason to believe that Linda Hogan is a major poet of our generation.” —World Literature Today
