Four volumes bound uniformly in signed George Routledge & Sons contemporary half brown pebbled morocco over marbled boards, five raised bands with gilt lettering back, marbled end papers, tops gilt. Very Good Plus, the bookplate of Bavid Bixler front paste downs, moderate spotting., light rubbing at tips. Sappho published by Guillaume et Cie, Paris, 1887, illustrated by Rossi, Myrbach, etc., engraved by Guilluame Brothers. The other three volumes published by George Routledge and Sons, London and New York, Tarascon illustrated by Montegut, De Myrbach, Picard, Rossi. On the Alps translated by Henry Frith, illustrated by Aranda, De Beaumont, Montenard, Myrbach and Rossi. La Belle translated by R. Routledge, illustrated by Montegut. Quite uncommon bound finely as a set and in the English translations. . Second British Edition. Half Pebbled Morocco. Very Good Plus/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
