Tight, handsome first edition of this tribute done by photographer Steichen (1879-1973) to his brother-in-law Carl Sandburg (1878-1967). Huge black fineline ownership signature on half-title page of Thomas Hollatz, Chicago crime reporter and John Dillinger scholar, author of "Gangster Holidays: The Lore and Legends of the Bad Guys" and "Reel People: Fishy Tales About the Great Outdoors" (both 1987). .
