A story about the Fong family who are Chinese Americans. They move from Alameda to San Francisco's Chinatown and have many adjustments to make. Through the adventures of the Fong children, the reader shares the everyday problems of these children and learns about the jean factory, a Chinese restaurant, a noodle shop, a fish market, a curio shop, Chinese school, Chinese American family life, and Chinese festivals. Bound in orange cloth lettered and decorated in white, spine lettering white, pictorial endpapers. A fine sharp cornered copy in a very good pictorial dust jacket showing light wear to corners and spine ends, light toning to edges, some rubbing. A handsome copy.
