About This Item
London: Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd, 1956. Hardcover. 16mo. Red cloth with gilt spine lettering and device, dust jacket. viii, 366pp. Very good/very good. Faintest of jacket wear only. A wonderfully tight and nice later printing of this adventure fiction by the Scottish politician far better known as a novelist and writer (1875-1940) -- first published in 1915, the same year as his by-far best known mystery novel, "The Thirty-Nine Steps." Discreet ex-library, the only markings being a large abrasion on rear pastedown and little else (including NO markings whatsoever on the lovely jacket).
