Frontispiece, illustrations, marbled endpapers. Very good. Mildest bit of edgewear, but overall clean, tight and quite lovely. Volume XXVIII of the "Standard Library Edition," a later printing of this volume in editor John T. Morse Jr.'s "American Statesmen" series. A superb copy. Inner flyleaf bears small handsome bookplate of Frederick Brown Wells (1873-1953), noted Minneapolis grain dealer.
