About This Item
Racine: Whitman Publishing Co, 1943. Hardcover. Illustrations by Hedwig Jo Meixner. 8vo. Green paper over boards with orange lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 248pp, (3pp ads). Drawings, pictorial endpapers. Good plus/good. Jacket quite edgeworn and rubbed, with edge chips (mainly at spine head and tail), yet complete and overall attractive nonetheless; text block moderately age toned as usual; library inkstamp to front and rear jacket flaps to otherwise-unmarked volume. A tight, decent copy of the first volume in the 8-volume "Fighters for Freedom Series" (1943-44). This publisher does not indicate edition in any consistent, verifiable manner.
