Foreword by Mike Wallace. Tells the story of CBS News during its Golden Age. Salant was president of CBS for 16 years throughout the 1960's and 1970's--nicknamed the "patron saint of television news". Of course 60 minutes is one of his stars. Here is a history of broadcast journamlism and the book poses an alarm about current erosion o f braodcast journalism standards. Should be read by all journalists.
