Amply illustrated with full color drawings, this Bible would be loved by children. Bible stories of just one or two pages are each accompanied by these attractive images of the individuals in the stories themselves. Drawn from both Old and New Testaments, the tales are told in simple language, with a child's vocabulary. Overall, the book is intended for those in the primary grades. The very first page is for personalization, so that the book could well serve as a special gift to a child.

The author is a Franciscan priest, a conventual (OFM, Conv.). He knows how to write in a simple, direct way, so that any child who is beginning to read can understand and enjoy what is written. The Franciscan conventuals, including the author, are the most monastic of the various Franciscan religious communities. Father Jude has written other books of this nature, and he does a great job.
