THIRD EDITION. 12 mo. vi, 166 pp. Colour frontispiece of British Flags, 8 plates to rear including 2 further Flags plates in colour; map, tables and diagrams in text. Book Condition: Very Good. Full tan calf; black leather label with gilt titles and ruling to spine. All edges marbled; marbled endpapers. Corners a little bruised, boards lightly scuffed and edges rubbed. Reference number to tail of spine. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown; stamp of South Shields Public Library Reference Department to title page and margin of 14 leaves with reference numbers to verso title page, otherwise contents clean & tight. Directions for Great Circle Sailing, An Essay on the Law of Storms and Variable Winds and Explanations of Terms used in Ship-Building to rear. Scarce.
