About This Item
London: Blachford and Imray, 1839. 58 pp. Twelvo. Rebound with new boards. Gilt lettering on the spine. There is foxing and staining throughout the book but it is firmly bound. There is a small repaired crack at the top edge of the spine. This volume is in remarkably good shape for its age. A scarce title. A rare compilation of surveys. This slim little volume rather uncommonly includes the navigational directions for the Straits of Gibraltar. Andrew David, Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy, was a previous owner and his bookplate is on the front paste down. 1839
