Front and rear end papers aged, otherwise the corrected textblock is clean and mostly tight; The glueing of the expurgated pages is quite obvious and the glue that was used has turned brown and brittle; The textblock overall is a little shaken, with Light shelf wear, sunned spine. 277pp., including bibliography and index; lacks dust jacket; A thorough study of the trial and execution of Tom Horn; A threatened lawsuit led to the rewrite and replacement of seven pages of illustrations and text after the volume had been printed and bound but before it was released. The changes were made by cutting out the deletions and tipping in new sheets. Adams-Herd 1287; Six-Guns 1256. . Expurgated Edition. Red Cloth. Very Good.
