No. 60 of 150 numbered copies of the first edition, signed by the author and specially bound in a quarter cloth binding with marbled boards. Loosely inserted is a booklet advertising Ann Muir's book 'Harvesting Colour'. This critically acclaimed novel, concerning the protagonist's struggle with gender transition, was written by English writer Dame Rose Tremain. It won both the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and Prix Femina étranger. A wonderful signed Limited Edition of this work. In a quarter cloth binding. Externally, in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are marginally age toned but clean. A couple of marks to the advertising booklet. Fine

Synopsis

Rose Tremain won the 1999 Whitbread Novel Award ( Music & Silence ), the Sunday Express Book of the Year and the Booker Prize Shortlist ( Restoration ), The Dylan Thomas Short Story Award ( The Colonel’s Daughter ), a Giles Cooper Award (for the play Temporary Shelter ) and the Angel Literary Award (twice). Her books have been translated into 14 languages with bestsellers in Britain, North America and France.
