Sotheby's, London, auction catalogue for the sale held on 14th and 15th December, 1995. Laminated illustrated wrappers, 4to,. 269 pp, colour ills. 778 lots. The sale included: "property consigned by a member of the Russian Imperial House; portrait miniatures formerly in the collection of H.I.H. The Late Grand Duke Nikolai Mikhailovich; paintings from the collection of a Russian nobleman; important paintings from the collections formed by the late Messrs. Alexander Kopilovitch, Simon Beilitz and Isaiah Gourevitch; fine portrait miniatures belonging to the late Donald Brewster, Mikhail Brodsky and to Count Benkendorff, the Russian Ambassador to the Court of Saint James; and other properties". Neatly but regrettably colour-coded by the previous owner, a bookseller, with seven coloured tape bands around the spine. Rear wrapper somewhat creased, scribbled prices and notes to contents, otherwise Good. Photocopy of prices realized sheet laid in.
