An illustrated reprint edition of poems of Omar Khayyám, arranged in quatrains and rendered into English by Edward FitzGerald under the title "The Rubaiyat," which was FitzGerald's creation. This edition is a facsimile of the 1909 Hodder & Stoughton issuance, with illustrations in color by Edmund Dulac, the French-English artist. --- In full off-white cloth-covered boards with elaborate decorations and titling in gilt to cover and gilt-stamped spine titling. Unpaginated (about 100 pp.). White jacket repeats the cover decorations. --- With inked gift inscription to half title, a little light soiling to cloth, else a tightly-bound, sound copy. Good-only dust jacket with several small tears and curling to edges, but remaining mostly intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; c.100 pp. pages .
